BIG LEAGUE
Selected for overseeding due to its rapid germination and fast establishment. An attractive turf scoring high in turfgrass color, quality and leaf texture, ranking second in overall quality at the recent NC State trial. Once established, it grows slower resulting in fewer mowings and less clippings.
BREAKOUT ITALIAN RYEGRASS
BREAKOUT with STT is a beautiful turfgrass. Darker than most other Italian ryegrass varieties BREAKOUT with STT also matches up better with warm-season grass bases. It’s fine leaf texture and increased density allow it to blend better with warmseason species.
BREAKOUT II
Breakout II is the latest generation of turf-type annual ryegrass. This variety was selected for fine texture, better density, mowing quality, and improved turf quality. Compared to other turf-type annuals, Breakout II does very well in overseeding trials. A key trait of Breakout II is that it germinates quickly; providing a playing surface comparable in turf quality and wear to perennial and intermediate ryegrasses.
BLACK CAT II
Bred for both cool season and over seeding performance. Very dark color, quick establishment and fill-in. Mows cleanly and recuperates well from traffic and active use.
BLACK PEARL
Selected from improved genetics providing a better breeding platform than most varieties. A dark green variety, ranking in the top 3 entries of the recent NC State overseeding trial. Scored in the top group for turf quality having fine blades and excellent density. Establishes well, exhibiting good seedling vigor and providing green cover quickly.
BLACK SPARROW
Black Sparrow (PPG-PR 472) was selected for aggressive tillering, good growth during cooler temperatures, darker green color and improved resistance to winter leaf spot. Black Sparrow is an excellent choice for both overseeding and permanent turf situations. In the 2021 UC Riverside overseeding trial this variety was rated highly for fine leaf texture and mowing quality exhibiting excellent turf quality.

Black Stallion is the latest addition to our lineup of excellent perennial Ryegrass varieties. Key strengths include very dark green color, exceptional turf quality and leaf texture.

Excellent turf quality, ranking third in the latest NC State winter overseeding trial. Exhibits a very dark green color and retains its color throughout the season. Establishes well, providing quality cover quickly. Blackstone’s controlled growth during the season means fewer mowings and less clippings.
