At Mountain View Seeds,
We Believe in Better.
We are devoted to developing and acquiring varieties of the highest genetic quality. Partnering with highly respected research and breeding programs to provide varieties that outperform industry standards, consistently landing at the top of trials.
Our agronomists and production teams work closely with our growers to ensure on-time delivery of products of the highest mechanical and genetic purity. We take pride in the quality of seed our growers produce and consistently deliver.
Farmer Owned. Committed to Better.
In 1946, Oregon farmers came together to form a cooperative with a simple goal—to grow exceptional grass seed in the Willamette Valley. Mountain View Seeds was established in 1998 to market the growing demand for Pratum Co-op’s private varieties. More than 80 years later, that farmer-owned foundation is what continues to set us apart. It means our standards are shaped in the field, our decisions are rooted in stewardship, and performance is never compromised.
We Are Better Together
At the core of every great company, there is a set of values that we believe are necessary to keep a family together. Mountain View Seeds believes in better relationships, better communication, better ethics and better results. We believe in better.
Start to Finish. Seed Without Compromise.
At Mountain View Seeds, we’re more than seed producers—we’re innovators, breeders, and stewards of quality. By researching, breeding, producing, processing, and packaging every bag ourselves, we maintain control at every step, ensuring only the best seed reaches our customers. This start-to-finish commitment allows us to deliver on our promise: better seed, better service, and stronger partnerships—because we believe in better.
